DAY 59

DAY 59

I have been so busy lately, so for today? More PHOTOGRAPHY! I have the next three days off so I'm planning on creating a lot more beauties so I can give the photography a break ;)

This photo is taken of Chopin's grave (the famous composer) in Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, France.
The beautiful sculpture is of the musical muse, Euterpe weeping over a broken lyre.

I took this image with my grandfather's analog camera, and hand developed it in a dark room.

I believe that hand developed photography had a lot more warmth to it then digital and I've always loved developing my own film!

This photograph is a standard size
8" x 10"

This is an original, NOT a print!

DAY 58

DAY 58

Posting photography has been fun!  Lets post some more!

This photo is from a Christo and Jeanne-Claude exhibit called, " The Gates "  that over took Central Park in Manhattan, NYC. These giant flags were bright orange and wove all around the park and were absolutely beautiful.

I took this image with my grandfather's analog camera, and hand developed it in a dark room.

DAY 57

DAY 57

I realized today that I haven't posted any of my photography yet.  Years ago in college I took a full year of analog black and white photography.  I've always loved the process involved, and the amount of control you can have on taking the picture AND developing the film.

I took this image with my grandfather's analog camera, and hand developed it in a dark room.

I then hand painted the flowers. I love the contrast of colorful flowers on black and white film.

DAY 56

I have so many linoleum prints on T-Shirts , but surprisingly not nearly as many on paper. So, here we go, some more prints on paper. :)

the fiddle fish is a very lonely fish. while all of his other fish friends are swimming around, he just stays in his cave and plays fiddle for hours and hours on end. although wanting to be social he knows if he practices non stop he will be the best fiddle fish ever.

This is a super unique VINTAGE Blouse!

It features a multi colored paisley and flower print.

It has a collar, and a cotton striped bottom hem.

There is no tag, but I presume it is a size Medium/Large.

This shirt is super comfortable and the print is AMAZING!

DAY 54

DAY 54

I just finished hand embroidering the nose and whiskers on this Rabbicat!  Check it out! XO

Rabbicat is an adorable hybrid of a kitty and a bunny. She spends her day hopping around fields of wildflowers, tossing around carrots like mice. She spends her nights cuddling, and will lick you until you both fall asleep.

MY PROCESS
I hand carve linoleum, ink it with a roller using silk screening ink, and then make my print by pressing down with my hands and a rolling pin! Truly one of a kind!

I hand embroidered the Rabbicat's whiskers and nose! :D
XOXO

Are you a proud owner of a MANX cat? They are my inspiration for the Rabbicat! I will happily custom embroider your cats name on the bag for an additional $10, just send me a message before purchase and I will adjust the price, and put the bag on reserve your you :)

The traditional GiGiBunni stamp is printed inside the bag :) XO.

 DAY 53

This may be a day over due, but I've had such a busy week! I'm impressed I even had time to post a new item yesterday.  I created this piece for a RAW natural born artists show.  It went down the runway at our last show Feb. 21 at The Belmont in Austin.  It is the first fringed top I've ever made!

GiGiBunni is a French Bulldog Piggy Monster that grew Bunny Ears!
Meet GiGiBunni and her friends, Rabbicat, Snow Taco, Hookah Boy, and Fiddle Fish!

This is the first set of prints I've done, just using the GiGiBunni Logo!

I hand carve linoleum, ink it with a roller using silk screening ink, and then make my print by pressing down with my hands and a rolling pin! Truly one of a kind!

I put all of my clothes in the dryer after being printed so the heat sets the ink. No fear of it washing away!

DAY 51

DAY 51

I had so much fun painting this BULLDOG painting, even though dog feet are basically the hardest thing to paint ever. Especially chubby little bulldog feet ;)

This is my friends bulldog, Jack. I paint her dogs a lot with out asking, you may call me a.... pet stalker? In a non creepy way.

I love bulldogs! Seriously, they are just so cute and chubby and wrinkly.

DAY 50

This drawing is a bit of a throw back, but I still like it.  I hope you do too!

This drawing is a study I did a few years ago. I wanted to try something different and tried a cubist approach while drawing a figure study.
