I recently saw some photographs by Miyoko Ihara and they inspired me to do some paintings. This one in particular stood out to me, I think the composition of the old woman, sunflowers and her cat Fukumaru is incredibly sweet. Take a look at my watercolor version!
This watercolor painting is inspired by a photograph taken by Miyoko Ihara from her photo book, "Misao the Big Mama and Fukumaru the Cat".
The photographs are so beautiful and taken in black and white, it inspired me to create this colorful painting!
